Yellow

While this isn’t a City Daily Photo (CDP) blog, I’m inspired by this month’s theme day theme: yellow.

The gallery of CDP Theme Day entries for April is here. I love seeing what photobloggers the world over come up with.

My CDP blog, Jinan Daily Photo is here.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Blue & Yellow

DSC_0039.JPG

Each week Cee of Cee’s Photography challenges bloggers with a fun prompt. This week we’re to find photos with blue and yellow in them. I tried to find something with these colors yesterday and saw nothing. Outside it’s brown, gray and white. My home doesn’t feature these colors so I almost gave up. Today I found these windows, which I saw in Phnom Penh.

Poem of the Week

beech-10587_640

Autumn Movement

by Carl Sandburg

I cried over beautiful things knowing no beautiful thing lasts.

The field of cornflower yellow is a scarf at the neck of the copper
sunburned woman, the mother of the year, the taker of seeds.

The northwest wind comes and the yellow is torn full of holes,
new beautiful things come in the first spit of snow on the northwest wind,
and the old things go, not one lasts.
