Interesting that the American Florists were all men.

All good but the last two are my favorites. I can imagine the noisy chatter from dozens of florists, all men, discussing the merits of flower varieties and bouquet arrangements. And in the last one I like the women’s hats, a fashion that may never come back.

Wonderful photos. The only florist Iknow are women, I wonder if there are still as many many male florists as there were is earlier times.

My hands down favorite is the Bohemian Dinner Party — though I was surprised by the year 1885. I guess they embodied the counter-culture of their day 🙂
