Sepia Saturday

This week’s prompt inspired me to find some historical images with prams.

Nationaal Archief, 1926. A woman with a pram on ice.

State Library of Queensland, 1910

Selling flowers out of a pram/stroller

Bilde etter ftg. Olai Fauske frå Førde i Sunnfjord

Fylkesarkivet i Sogn og Fjordane, circa 1925

Three boys, a dog and a baby in a pram.

What’s the tallest boy have over his shoulder?

  1. The winner here is definitely the ice pram. I don’t remember seeing one of these before, but it makes sense — much like the jogging strollers so many young mothers use here in NYC when they go running.

  2. Ice pram? Sounds like a Canadian innovation!
And the terrific photo of children in the hunt seemed familiar like I’d seen them before. In fact they were the theme for Sepia Saturday #427 in July 2018.

  3. I remembered the kids with the dog and baby in pram also…no idea what I contributed to go with it though. The outfits of women on skates look very skimpy for weather cold enough for ice skating.
