Flying as it Used to Be

When I was young, flying was strictly for the rich. I loved to go to the airport, when a relative was coming or going. I recall that it was such a big deal that if my aunt and uncle were going somewhere for vacation, we’d all go to see them off and have cocktails–kiddie or adult–in a lounge. That’s the era of this video.

    • It’s more like a bus ride with lots of inconvenience at the airport, i.e. long security lines, no personal contact. Even smiles are rare.
