I thought I’d search the archives for children on St. Patrick’s Day.
For some vintage St. Patrick’s Day greeting cards, click here. I didn’t know there were cards sent for the holiday way back when. I’m happy to be wrong.

Is the 1940 parade of young girls a St. Patrick’s day event? What are the costumes?

Yes, that and the other photos are all of St. Patrick’s Day events. Maybe they figured costumes were too costly or ones for one holiday didn’t make sense. The white dresses would be multi-purpose. I’m just guessing.

All good! It made me wonder what the record for human pyramids is. This one is pretty good = https://youtu.be/papJCUOSIKQ

Do you make money from the ads on your page? Just wondered because I don’t remember seeing such active ads on blogs before.

On WordPress unless I upgrade for a premium package, the ads are there. They do give me a bit, but I think it took 5 years to get $100.

I don’t think they’ve had a parade in Sydney for the last few years, but they did light up the Opera House last night apparently. See

I wonder if those britches in the first photo were stuffed with newspaper or something.

Interesting photos. I must mention how hard I find it to read things in grey on grey…including all the type face here. Wonder who figured that would be a good idea…not for my poor old eyes.
