I love, absolutely love, vintage greeting cards. Here are a few I found on Flickr Commons and the Digital Public Library of America (dp.la)

  1. Great selection of cards. My pick is the pumpkin head card! I celebrated at Pumpkin Point on Governors Island in NY harbor, where thousands of pumpkins were arrayed to the joy of the children and others who attended.

  2. Great old Hallowe’en postcards! We gave out candy to 300 trick-or-treaters this year – same as every year. Folks in outlying areas ‘truck’ their kiddos into our neighborhood to go trick-or-treating. It’s fun though & we see some great costumes. It’s also nice to hear most of the kids say “Thank You” and “Happy Halloween”. Gives one hope for the future generation. 🙂

  3. I share your love of vintage cards, and you gave us a beautiful selection here. I wonder how many of today’s greeting cards will have an appeal in 100years time?
