New Students, New English Names

While I do have the usual number of Ambers and Toms (i.e. one per class), I’ve got a few more interesting English names this semester: Flame, Demon, July, Hero, Win, Gank*, Froggen, Lavender (rather nice actually), Maybe, Vision, Vant*,  Maple, Ichabod, Bard, Collision, Orange, Win and Milk.

I have one more class to meet so there may be more such names. Seems I’ve got more unusual names this time around.

*I told him that made no sense as it isn’t a word or a name. Now Gank has taken Froggen. I’m not sure where they’re getting these., maybe from a computer game.

I never encountered an “Amber” during my 2 stints in Jinan.

Amber has become very popular. It must be from a TV show. Every class has an Amber.
