In honor of Valentine’s Day, Sepia Saturday bloggers are digging through archives to find fitting photos.

I liked this series of Valentines cards that show the bliss and pitfalls of young love from Norway’s National Library’s collection. Date unknown.

These are so cute! I love the vintage Valentine cards. By the third frame, I began thinking the theme was that he was “falling head over heels” for her. 🙂 Great images. Thank you for sharing them.

I hope that wasn’t the same young lady; she seems a bit accident-prone!

Obviously, Valentine’s Day didn’t run smoothly for some! Fun cards.

    Funny, but not very romantic.

It’s the last one that gets me…the angry mother! Not a good Valentine’s Day for our little miss, eh?

Great little sketches. Too bad all the amorous advances end up in disaster. Or maybe that’s closer to real life than all the billing and cooing.
