This week’s main sighting was the city of Columbus, Indiana. This city of 44,000 has over 60 buildings–churches, schools, banks, the library, even the jail–designed by top notch architects. All because of the vision and generosity of J. Irwin Miller. Here are some photos:

City Hall

Back of First Financial Bank

First Christian Church

At Cummins Engine Co.

The Commons

An Old Fashioned Ice Cream Shop

At Kids' Commons - I love the door

Though it was a rerun and rather coarse in some of the language, Jon Stewart was brilliant with his piece on the US’ lower credit rating. I also loved this John Oliver coverage of Bank of America’s major blunder.

Also, I heard this week on that corporations used to pay 40% of the tax revenue and now pay 11%. Something’s wrong with that folks.
